Fishing Knots and Rigging

The Arbor Knot is used for attaching backing to your reel.

Loop line around fishing reel spool.
Take end of line and tie an overhand knot around the line coming in to the spool.
Pull this knot tight.
With the same free end, tie another overhand knot.
Pull this knot tight.

Take the line in your hand and pull tight so that the knot becomes snug against the reel. Trim the tag end.
