Split Charters - June 2012

Healthy Tampa RedfishIf you have an interest in splitting a charter with another angler over the next month, simply respond to this email.  Let me know the day or days you could fish and how long you would like to fish for. The way these split charters work is that I can take up to a total of 4 anglers. The cost of a four hour split charter for one angler is $237.50. If an additional angler joins you, there would be a $25 charge, just as on a regular charter when the total count passes 2 anglers. So, In this case, the cost would be $262.50 for your side of the split. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call. As of right now, decent tide days that I have available for split charters in the immediate future are June 16th, 17th, 22nd, 28th and 30th. Thanks

Seminar at West Marine This Thursday - June 2012

Tampa Fishing for Near Shore KingfishSeminar start time will be at 6PM this Thursday, the 8th. Due to a scheduling mistake on my part, I gave a seminar on Summer Redfishing last month at West Marine.  The topic was supposed to be Tarpon.  In talking with store personnel, they asked that I stick with the topic on their schedule for this month...which is redfishing.  To keep this month's seminar interesting to those who attended last month, I thought it would be most appropriate to start with an open forum format where I would answer any questions anyone might have related to catching redfish locally. After this, I will discuss the full compliment of inshore tackle (rod / reel / line / leader/ hook) required to catch everything from seatrout to tarpon. There will be time afterwards to answer any special rigging questions that you may have. As always, West Marine will provide drinks and pizza and will be giving away a gift certificate and a few additional raffle items. I look forward to seeing you there.

Snook Fishing Seminar May 2012

0520stewbigsnook2This Thursday Evening, May 17th, at 6:30PM @ Marino's Marina, I will be giving a seminar on summer snook fishing.  Marina Address is 286 Shore Drive, Palm Harbor (Ozona) Florida 34683.  Larger fish have been in residence for several weeks now and although not easy to catch, fish can be hooked on almost every outing with the proper persistence and approach. Rigging, tactics and baits used for catching these great game fish will all be discussed. As always, free beverages will be available and there will be a 10% discount on any items purchased from the marina store. I look forward to seeing you there.
