May 2012 Split Cost Fishing Charter

If anyone is interested in splitting a fishing charter with another angler during the month of May, it would be best to start trying to set that up now.   April is already extremely busy and May bookings are picking up by the day.  If you have an interest, please let me know what trip length you are interested in (4,6 or 8 hours) and what days you can fish.  Regarding the days you can fish, useful information would include statements like "Any day in May, Only weekends, would prefer weekdays, from the 4th through the 9th etc.".  Remember that the more flexible you are on hours and days, the more likely it will be that I will be able to get you paired up with someone. In terms of cost, these split charters work in the following way.  Let's say that you want to split a 6 hour charter with someone else.  A 6 hour charter is $500, so each person would pay $250 plus $25 for being paired with another angler.  Each side of the split can bring one additional angler.  The charge for the extra angler is $25. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Tampa Snook Fishing Seminar - April 2012

0617stewbigsnookThis Thursday Evening, the 5th of April, @ 6PM, I will be giving a seminar on snook fishing.  Seminar location is the West Marine Store on Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater. Our extremely warm spring is sure to ignite the snook bite early so now  is a great time for a refresher course on catching one of our favorite inshore game species.  Discussion topics will include tackle used, where fish are typically located and what techniques will get them on the hook.  As always, free drinks and pizza will be available. Bring your latest best catch photo to qualify for the West Marine Gift Card Drawing.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Seminar - How to Rig an Inshore Fishing Boat - March 2012

Summer Snook Fishing in Tampa, FloridaThis Thursday Evening, March 22nd @ 6:30PM, at Marino's Marina, I will be giving a seminar on how to properly rig an inshore fishing boat.  There are many important items that you should have on your boat plus a lot of less important items that will make your fishing day go a lot better. Marina address is 286 Bayshore Drive, Palm Harbor, FL 34683.  Tel # is 727 784-0143 should you need directions.  If you have suggestions  about items that you have on your boat that are highly useful and are not commonly used, please feel free to bring these up during the seminar so that we all might leave a little better prepared for our next fishing trip.  Fishing is excellent right now and only going to get better so it's a great time to make sure that your boat is fully equipped for a productive fishing season. Refreshments will be available free of charge. Also, all store sales on the night of the seminar will be discounted 10%.  I look forward to seeing you there.
