March 2012 Seminar - Near Shore Cobia Fishing

Tampa Fishing for Big Cobia on light tackle

This Thursday Evening, March 1st, at 6PM, I will be giving a seminar on near shore cobia fishing. Seminar location will be the West Marine Store on Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater. There are several times of the year when the near shore angler has an opportunity to get hooked up on one of these large gamefish. One of these times is right around the corner....March through May. Discussion topics will include where these fish can be found, as well as what tackle and tactics are used to catch them. Remember to bring a latest "best catch" picture to qualify for the drawing for a West Marine Gift Certificate. As always, free pizza and drinks will be available. I look forward to seeing you then.

Winter / Spring Trout Fishing Seminar

This Wednesday Evening, the 15th of February, at 6:30PM @ Marino's Marina, I will be giving a seminar on Winter / Spring Seatrout Fishing. February 2012 Split Cost Fishing Charter

For any of you interested in a split cost fishing charter in the month of February, please let me know in the next few days. Simply respond to this email. I'll do my best to get you paired up with someone as quickly as possible. The best fishing days in the coming month are from today through the 13th and the 19th through 25th. Trout fishing has remained good and scattered redfish are caught on almost all trips. With the warm winter we may see redfish coming back into the St Joseph's Sound early, which means later February could see redfish numbers on the rise.
