Split Cost Fishing Charters -January 2012

Red Hot Tampa Seatrout Fishing If you have an interest in splitting the cost of a fishing charter with another angler in the coming month, please let me know. I will do my best to pair you up. Costs for a 4, 6 and 8 hour split cost charters are $237.50, $287.50 and $337.50 respectively. Each side of the split can bring a total of two anglers. Should you choose to bring someone with you, the charge for the additional person is $25. It typically takes a week or two to arrange a split charter, so please bear this in mind when planning your trip. Winter trout fishing has been strong on the good tide, pre-weather front days. Grouper fishing has also remained good although recent cold fronts will start to push them deeper. As of right now, I do have an angler looking to go on any of the following days... January 8th, 10th or 11th. Tides are excellent on these days. If you have an interest in one nof these dates or any other in January, just let me know.

Seminar - How to Rig an Inshore Fishing Boat

This Thursday Evening, the 3rd of January at 6PM at West Marine in Clearwater, I will be giving a seminar on How to Rig an Inshore Fishing Boat. When I first started out as a fishing guide, I believed that my boat was completely equipped...only to find out over the next year that there were many other pieces of equipment that I should have on board. Any tool or device that allows you to do something faster or more efficiently means that you'll spend more time fishing. Logically, this should result in catching more fish. As always, West Marine will supply free pizza and drinks and will be giving away a gift certificate and other assorted store items. I look forward to seeing you there.

Fishing Rods for Sale December 2012

Normally, I have 6 or 7 rod and reel combos available when I go to sell last year's tackle. This year, I just have 3. Several of last year's rods had enough wear and tear on them that I just threw them out. With that said, I also have an additional 4 Shimano Symetre reels. I have recently repaired two of these and feel they are in good shape for resale. The rods are Daiwa Saltiga 7.5 foot, medium action spinning rods. If you fished inshore with me over the last year, these are the rods that you used. I am selling the combos for $100 and the reels for $50. As always, you have thirty days to return anything back to me that you are not satisfied with. First come, first served. Shoot me an email if you have an interest in any of this tackle.
