Large Redfish Finally Go Off

Large redfish finally went on a feeding spree and ate aggressively for the first time in quite a while. The day started as many Tampa Fishing Charters have in the recent weeks...with five or six redfish in the 17 to 19 inch range being caught . After sighting a school of 50 fish and patiently working an area for the better part of an hour and a half, the fish turned on. Ten fish were caught in the next 45 minutes with the largest being 33 inches. Only one 26 inch fish was "small enough" to be kept, as the remainder surpassed the 27 inch max slot imit...with most over 30". A quick trip out to the beach yeilded a 34 inch snook, putting an exclamation point on an already great day. Tampa fishing in May and June is about as good as it gets.
