Fishing charter departure times are typically between 7:30 and 8:30AM and are based on factors such as time of year, tides, availability of bait and species being targeted. Your captain can give you a ballpark departure time in the weeks before and will finalize that specific departure time the day before. Variance is usually no more than a half hour. Departure location is typically from Ozona Fish Camp / 286 Shore drive / Palm Harbor, Florida 34683.

At time of booking, your captain will answer any questions you may have about your trip. Typical topics would include cancellation policy, weather, fish to be targeted, bringing young anglers or anglers with special needs etc.

What type of fish will we encounter on our fishing charter?

The Tampa and Tampa Bay areas have a diverse fish population. As a result, a multitude of fish species may be landed on your Tampa fishing charter. In most cases, light tackle is used to make catching these fish both exciting and entertaining. Included among these species are: Snook, Seatrout, Redfish, Tarpon, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, Cobia, Shark, Mangrove Snapper, Grouper, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Bluefish, Kingfish, TripleTail and others.

What You’ll Need

There are a few things that you may want to bring along with you to make your fishing charter more enjoyable. These include sunscreen, sunglasses (polarized will help you see the fish), hat, rain gear (if required), food and drinks (if you prefer something other gatorade, green tea or water, which will be on board). It’s also best to wear shoes that you don’t mind getting a little wet such as boat shoes or sandals.

Deposits / Payments

A credit card is required at time of booking your fishing charter to reserve your requested fishing date. Nothing is billed to this credit card at that time. Should a customer cancel less than 14 days in advance or the requested fishing trip date however, the credit card on file will be billed $200. Should a customer “no show” on the the day of their fishing trip, the customer will be charged for the full amount of the fishing trip. If a fishing trip is cancelled due to weather or if customer cancels a minimum of fourteen (14) days in advance of charter date, the customer will be charged nothing. Weather cancellations are made at the captain’s discretion. Credit Card, check and cash are all acceptable forms of payment. Payment is handled at the conclusion of the fishing trip. Gratuities are appreciated.
